Ali Rafi appointed Head of Motorsport and Metaverse for Velas
British-born entrepreneur Ali Rafi has been appointed as Head of Motorsport and Metaverse for Velas Network AG, a Premium Partner of Ferrari in Formula 1 and title sponsor of Ferrari’s Esports team.
In addition to having been instrumental in bringing the agreement to the table between Velas and Ferrari, Ali has over a decade of experience in motorsport, having held senior commercial roles at Team Lotus, Caterham F1 and Renault F1. Ali will now use his extensive experience to shape the future direction of the partnership and spearhead motorsport strategy for Velas moving forward.
Building on Ali’s ongoing role as the founder of GPNFTS, the world’s leading Motorsport NFT marketplace, a key pillar of this strategy will involve the Metaverse: part of the ongoing Web3 digital revolution that will open up truly innovative and immersive experiences to motorsport fans around the world.
